The budget for the year was $2,670. The three top salesmen in the Candy Sale won bicycles.
Because of the very successful Organization Drive in the fall of 1976, the possibility of
splitting the Nation was discussed. Rather than splitting the Nation, it was decided to have a
low key drive in 1977 and not have any school promotions. The August event was an overnight trip
to see Tecumseh. A special edition of the smoke Signal was issued in August 1977 with details of
the bus trip. The entertainment at the Father/Son Banquet was a Karate-Judo demonstration.
